Worship
Worship is the foundation of our life together in the Northside community. Each time we worship God together, we ourselves are nourished, formed, strengthened, and then sent out to live as reflections of Christ in the world.
Worship at Northside includes prayer, singing of many styles of music, Bible readings, choral and instrumental music, quiet time for reflection and listening to God, and a sermon that applies the Bible to our lives as we live them each day.
Music at Northside is beyond the new vs. old fights of yesterday. We see our worship through music as a beautiful mosaic which offers the best of every style to God. You'll hear new & old hymns, choruses, jazz, blues, country, classical, and everything in between. The fresh and familiar are all tools for worship at Northside.
We come to worship God in community, which means we offer our worship to God while finding encouragement and solace in the presence of those worshipping with us. At Northside, we have a firm belief that worship should welcome people of every age, background, nationality, gender, ability, and family.
As we make our way together, we worship and pray...we teach and share...we listen and laugh...we care and cry...we roll up our sleeves and get involved...and sometimes we simply sit quietly in the presence of God.
We worship together on Sunday mornings at 10:45, with Sunday School groups for all ages at just before at 9:30. Join us as we journey together.
